Any chance I can get a mention in there? I have a link to SWVA in that I went to high school with your old sports editor (heck of a guy, y’all should bring him back) and I’m Billy Wags’ teammate. I should be a former big leaguer pretty soon, and my local paper doesn’t cover me much anymore. The Pharos-Tribune has really gone down the tubes since that Jackson guy left. Besides, I can’t see myself moving back to Indiana any time soon. That would be a mistake.
No one wants to live in Indiana anymore.

It’s really crazy. Not too long ago I typed “Chilhowie” into a search on eBay. Sure enough, an ancient baseball card of Nick Collup appeared. I had never heard of the guy and didn’t really pay any attention to the card. A few days a later I read your blog about the old sports guys from SWVA. Now I wish I could’ve bought that baseball card off of eBay for all $3.00 it was worth and gave you the info off the back.
Crazy coincidence.
