It’s the best kept secret in politics.

Who will be Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential pick?

Today, I’d like to know your best guess, your idea of the “dream ticket” for the Democrats in the fall.

The New York Times reports Obama will announce his VP on Wednesday, and (by chance?) Obama has a campaign stop in Lynchburg, Virginia, planned for tomorrow.  Governor Tim Kaine, according to all reports I’ve read, is at the tippy top of Obama’s list.

But what about Hillary?  Picking her would certainly unite the Democrats, but other problems (one named Bill?) could make that deal a no-go.

What do you think?

Hillary ?  Surely he is not that stupid….way too many bodies left in the wake of the Clintons…..I doubt Obama would sleep much knowing Hillary was waiting in the wings should something “unfortunate” happen to him.

Bill Richardson would have been my pick, too bad it’ll never happen. He would have brought a much needed boost in Obamas foreign relations team. Unfortunately, Richardson is not the pit-bull required to take on the conservative party.

If he wants to WIN, he will choose Hillary.  I have NEVER voted for a REPUBLICAN, but will if he choses anyone besides her.  I am not sure who he will chose because he is so arrogant, he doesn’t think he needs anyone to win.  He also thinks he can snub his nose at 1/2 the Democratic party and we will still vote for him.  Watch and see!  As for some of the other people others say could be chosen, they have also received a slot to speak at the Convention, so we will see.

My guess is ANYBODY but Kaine.  His record on handling environmental issues and health care issues is abysmal.  McCain dreadfully is looking more appealing as much as I hate to have to say, and I am one of those millions of under 50$ donators to Obama.

Hillary’s a no go simply because they have already given her a date and time for her convention speech, which is not the traditional VP acceptance time. My guess is Joe Biden with Evan Bayh a close second. Tim Kaine is too much of a risk due to the “inexperience” issue. Biden is knowledgeable and was my first pick for the nomination back last year. He is an excellent debater and will play a terrific “attack dog” against the flip flopping McCain. I used to like McCain until he traded in his principles for political expediency, not to mention he is a cry baby. If anyone missed it last night, you can go to YouTube and watch Keith Olbermann’s special comment on McCain. Now that’s must see t.v.!

BTW, does anyone really believe that McCain was not privy to the questions in the forum Saturday night? Were talking about a man who once needed Joe Liebermann to help him realize (on national television) that Iran was not arming Al Queda and the difference between Sunni and Shiite. Was the McCain we saw Saturday the same guy who still thought that Chezchloslavakia was still a nation? Puleeeeze! It’s really sad to watch such a former noble man succomb to disingenious intellectual dishonesty.

Hillary is the smart choice, but who knows?  I believe a ticket with Obama and Hillary would simply crush the GOP this year.  Too many people have been hurt, even destroyed by the fiscal policy of the GOP.  It is becoming more clear every day that anyone woth a net worth less than 20 million or so simply cannot afford the society the GOP is determined to give us.

But alas, ignorance and racism are widespread in this country, so the old white guy who favors the ultra rich just might con enough people to win no matter who Obama picks.  And with electronic voting, which cannot be audited in any way, who knows?

Scary to anyone who believes that the person with the most votes should be the leader.
