Tonight, the Governor of Alaska goes primetime at the RNC.

Everyone has something to say about Sarah Palin, and maybe that is just why John McCain chose her.  After a week of Obama-mania, he at least succeeded in changing the subject.

McCain insists Palin was the right pick for VP because of her politics and her character.  No doubt, some Conservatives I know are, for the first time, really excited about the ticket because of Palin’s pro-life and anti-corruption record.  A “moderate” buddy who’s been a long-time supporter of McCain was so excited about Palin that he could hardly talk about it without choking up.  I’m not kidding.

Some Liberal friends seem eager to talk about Palin’s controversial side: the pregnant teenage daughter, the allegations of abuse of power related to her ex-brother-in-law state trooper, and the reports of big-time pork projects going to the state of Alaska.  One friend who adores Obama seemed disappointed the McCain didn’t pick Romney or Huckabee, a sure defeat for McCain in my friend’s opinion.

I was a bit amazed yesterday to learn that the New York Times - the one-time standard of serious journalism in America - had three articles on Tuesday’s front page about 17-year old Bristol Palin, the VP presumptive nominee’s daughter.  Seems a bit much, don’t you think?

Still, after spending months blasting Obama over his lack of foreign policy experience, it’s obvious the McCain camp is pursuing a new line of offense by picking a VP candidate who has no foreign policy experience.

What do you think about Sarah Palin?

It’s amazing to see all the responses here.

I respect McCain for choosing Palin.  Again he has gone against the “status quo”—again he has put the county first, and done what he feels is right for America.

She is a rebel—just like him. I want people in office who won’t let my tax dollars simply be spent willy nilly.  Sarah Palin put the Alaska checkbook online for the citizens to see—she understands IT’S THEIR MONEY.

She is a go getter—AND she has more experience than Barack Hussein Obama.

GO SARAH!! GO!!

P.S. with Biden being #2 for democrats - now that is a nightmare! It show’s Obama’s bad judgement—he should of chosen Hillary.  Again another democrat not listening to what America wants—ohy.

Sarah Palin was seperated from Peggy Hill at birth.  Just to clarify one thing said 2 times in one of the comments, Alaska is not the least populated state.  It is 47 out of 50.

My first reaction to Ms. Palin was that she seemed to be one of the “beautifull people”....poised, well dressed, well made up….a person everyone seems to gravitate to. After learning more about her and her family (more than we truly needed to know!) I find her to be “human”....a mother suffering the heart aches that we all suffer. From the unnecessary anouncement of her daughters pregnancy (she just joins a growing “trend” in society) to seeing her beautiful Downs Syndrom son that she shows she is proud to put in front of America…I applaud her. Tho I am not a McCain fan…if she had ran for president I would give her my highest consideration for a vote. Asd a matter of fact I am not a fan of either canidate…I wish we could redo all of this and Ms. Palin were in Hilarys place!...maybe…..

How is it they forget to mention she comes frn the Front Office of an Oil Company to Mayor then to Govenor. The same Oil Company’s support her that support Stevens.
The same Oil Companys that support M c Cain an unlimited drilling as long as they get the drilling rightrs with no set time limnit ob their use.
And the Oil Comanys have their man/woman in the Govenor seat where she can control legislation. She took control of a lot of money to use on behalf of the citizens instead of given it too them as the agreement said. That set a standard so the state could start taking all the oil money away from the citizens!

Mc Cain chooses her for a distration and she has paid off. He had not had to discuss any issues besides this choice.

Well McCain is offically the Forrest Gump of Politis and I am not about to be fooled by this blantan PANDERING to the will of Oil Companys !!!!!

I like Palin and plan to vote for McCain/Palin.  I like her stand on Pro Life and more.  No one should be throwing stones about her daughter cause the only Brady bunch I knew were on television.  If population size decides your right to be president Tri-Cities citizens will never qualify.  Wait…I think we did go there…oh that’s right….Andrew Johnson, President of the United States!!! And imagine he was from little ole Greeneville, Tennessee.
