She was FANTASTIC!  ALL the women speakers were very motivational—and an inspiration to me.  I think Sarah is everything we need in America.

She was asked to help McCain because she is a rebel like him—NOT because she is a woman.  Seems like alot of men are grasping at straws—GET USE TO IT men—Women are not going anywhere but to the White House!

LOOK OUT WASHINGTON!!!
All you senators that do nothing—- Like the Obama and Bidens of the world—start taking notes—or start packing your bags and go home! No more free rides - that includes you Mr. Kennedy!

Can we get laws passed her so every mayor or governor can fire all the employees they want to create their own little doctatorships.

We don’t need to know that Palin left that little town of 9,000 citizens over $28, million dollars in debt now do we.
Of course not the media decides what we need to know.
Did we need to know that her son cut the brake line on an elementary school bus and joined the military to avoid jail ?
Of course not.

What should we know or be allowed to know ?

I found her speech to be more about attacking the dems than on what she would do for this country. It is a well known fact that if one does not either not have knowledge on the issues,or doesn’t want to tackle them, then you just attack your opponents.
It seems that the only things she wants to discuss is her extreme ideas on prochoice and no birth control(what does this do for the overpopulation of the planet if adults are denied birth control)? She also wants to talk of her lifetime membership in the NRA. This used to be a respectable group until the radical people got involved and tried to convince us that automatic and semi-automatic guns were needed for hunting. Huh? Coming from a long line of hunters, I know that this is ludricrous.Real sportsmen do not do this.
If she thinks that she can get Hillary’s voters she is ridiculous. Hillary’s voters have a different view on everything that Palin does. It is insulting to women everywhere to thing that we are that shallow and ignorant.
So what did I think? Pandering to the extreme right sums it up. She does not speak for me or many other women that I know. Gotta be better women than her.

I think that she carried the speech very well and accomplished the goal of being an attack dog, which is fine. However, with a newcomer to this very important election that is virtually unknown, the speech failed to give us any idea of how this person is built, and the few things I do know scare me. This choice has nothing to do with principal, issues, or even Palin herself. This choice was made in another attempt to manipulate the political climate. The Palin family has been thrust onto the stage to win McCain an election.

As a veteran with 5 years active duty I find her comments about her son and his deployment completely out of line. Her son may face a heightened aspect of danger simply due to his relationship with a potential national leader but to divulge information about her son, his unit and deployment dates increases the dangers even more, but to speak about that knowledge on a national forum is insane. How can any one not look at her speech with contempt when she tries to use her sons commitments to our country as a propaganda tool for popularity. Endangering her son and those around him gives me reason to deny the Dumb/Dumber ( McCain/Palin) my vote.

Not only is Palin anti abortion, she is even against abortion rights for a 13 year old that has been raped by her own father.  As opposed to abortion as a means of birth control as I am, I simply cannot support such an extreme view.  I see no realistic choice other than leaving reproduction decisions up to a woman and her doctor.  No law can fix that.  That’s pretty extreme for most Americans.  She flat out lied about Obama not working to pass bipartisan legislation.  Lugar even said so.  She claims to be against earmarks but hired a lobbyist while mayor and sought 27 million in earmarks during her term.  As governor she has hired lobbyists and requested over 700 million in earmarks.  She said Obama would raise your taxes, but the facts are 95% of Americans would see tax relief under his plan.  There is more but I have made my point.

As to religion, she is what I and many others consider an extremist.  Here is a link to a Wall Street Journal article (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122048406528596987.html?mod=googlenews_wsj) not exactly a paragon of liberal talking points, about the church she grew up in.  It is a charismatic Pentacostal church which regularly practices speaking in tongues.  You are free to practice any religion you want or none at all, but I am also free to form my own opinion of whether I think a politician’s religion is too extreme or not for my tastes.  It seems she found another church when she had bigger ambitions for her political future.  Again, nothing wrong with that but it won’t fool me.  You can fool some of the people, and that is all that is needed.

This woman is not at all like Hillary, except for both being female.  When it comes to what she stands for, whatever Hillary stands for is the exact opposite from Palin on almost every issue.  I doubt if Hillary supporters are going to flock to her side.

But if such an extremist is your style then the election is on November 4th.  I’ll vote for freedom and a new direction.  That would be Obama.

How refreshing to see such a strong female counterpart for McCain.  She deserves tremendous respect for taking this step forward to serve her country.  And yes she is a woman with five children.  She has a husband.  Just as Obama has children and a wife.

This country needs to accept that there are many strong women that can be in leadership roles and should not be looked at any differently than a man.  We need to move forward.

Jamie Chapman—
We haven’t heard from Hillary lately- I wonder if she is once again under an agressive military attack- pinned down by sniper fire and madly scrambling to save all those in her company by administering medical treatment to her comrades who have been wounded…
Yes, you are wasting your vote. You might as well just stay home on election day and plant flower bulbs for next spring.  -At least that will produce something.

did you all watch and listen to the same speech i did? what are the lies,,beeman? he don’t have more experience than she does,he changes his mind on issues according to time and place,,etc, etc!!!!!everything she said was right on the money! she busted his chops without a doubt.
captaincorny——so what who wrote the speech for her! do you think “THE CHOSEN ONE” writes his own speeches? not a chance! i just wishthey would change it up a lil.you say she said nothing about the future,,,then what was that part about exploring every possible energy avenue, drilling for oil,geo-thermal,wind,solar,bio-fuels. she spoke of ending the war with VICTORY! did you have to take a pee break,or maybe have to go pray to your Obama statue?
you said—Want more corruption, high gas prices, food war, death, rights violations?
Corruption-obama comes from the corrupt free political climate of Chicago
high gas prices-your do nothing congress is on a five week vacation, without putting a bill on the floor to do with gas prices,,oh but they did name a few post offices
food prices-mother nature took care of that, i can’t lay that on either party.
war——once again,,an overwhelming majority of you members of congress voted for it.
death——i guess if you’re a liberal, abortion isn’t considered part of death.
rights violations——????? i know my rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Peggy Hill did a good job delivering the speech.  Too bad she isn’t running with OBAMA.  They can both deliver a prewritten speech well, just don’t ask them a question they haven’t rehearsed.  When you look at the choices we have for President, there is no choice.  I say NOBAMA!  And No McSame.  People can say I am throwing away my vote if they want to, but I’m writing in Hillary Clinton when I vote.
