Did you see Obama’s speech in Denver last night?

Invesco Field was packed with supporters.  Some came from the grass roots movement that swept the freshman Senator from Illinois to the top of his political party.  Some came from the heights of Hollywood.  I think I saw a picture of Ben Affleck in the crowd.

Oprah was there, too,  and I read this morning that she cried until her false eyelashes fell off.  That’s what she told reporters.  Obama’s earliest and most helpful famous supporter was in Denver for the closing night of the convention and was quoted this morning as saying it was the most “emotional experience” of her life.

For Oprah, that’s saying a lot.

What did you think about his acceptance speech?

Just another “over-the-top” entertainment spectacle designed to divert our attention from the empty sound bites with no explanation on how he plans to accomplish everything without ushering in socialism.

If Obama and the Democrats want to get elected by preaching “Hope,” that’s a noble political theme. However, the need to confront a few major national challenges does not mean they need to pretend the citizens of a prosperous country are suddenly 300 million Okies in the dustbowl, and the Democrats’ statist policies represent the saving grace of jobs in California. That’s not giving people hope, that’s patronizing.

I thought that the entire Democratic convention was wonderful. All of the speakers and entertainers excited the crowd that attended and at home. In my 45 years, I have never been as enthusiastic about an election as I am now.

The democrats want the power to go back to the people of this great country. While pundits may say that Obama doesn’t have enough experience, I say baloney. We do not need another 8 years of the travesty that we now call our government.

Barack Obama has garnered all of his support from the groundswell of the grassroots movement. He has not relied on big business to bankroll his campaign. Most of his doner have donated less than 100 dollars to him. This speaks volumes.

Obama’s supporters have brought out the young voters in droves also. For the first time in history, the youth is getting involved heavily in the election process. His first official act was to name Joe Biden his running mate. This is a very smart move. Biden brings tons of experience in both the national and foreign genres.

To say that Obama’s speech was moving is not doing it justice. You could hear the compassion for the working class in his speech. You could also see it in the tear stained faces of the crowd. We finally have hope for a better country.

Vote Obama/Biden
Yes We Can!

Obama put into words what so very very many American feel about the last 4 years.

Although he never mentioned the signing statement that Bush uses which basically make Bush a DICTATOR when he can over rule the whole Congress without using the Veto and preventthe laws or bills they passed from being enacted !

I have said to myself over and over my country is better than this for several years.

The political appointees acting without regard to laws or rules. Citizen losing their lifes because FEMA had to have a Action Progam devopled by Private Contractors.

FEMA ignored the University of Lousiana Disaster Accessment Evacuation and Disaster Action Program who tried to give it to FEMA for free.

FEMA had to have a Disaster Plan from a Private Contractor who has yet to finished the plan but is consistanly paid $ 1.2 Million Dollars for their on going work!
The Contractor is not a computer programer or specialist of any kind but a Loyal Republican Party Member.

Other countries are using the Universities Disaster Accessment, Evacuation and Action plan because it is so east to use and extremely deatiled !
So many people left to die, the states are all in debt or broke and the hit just keep on comming as the tax cuts starve the very infustructure of this nation with a bridge falling here, the Corps of Engineers having their budget cut 3 years in a row before Katrnia, the SEC budget cut so they can not enforce regulatiion in the stock market or the finanical sector, President Bush’s signing statement that allows Contractors in Iraq to refuse Federal Government Audits, the Kid the Bush Adminstration hired to get the Iraqi Banking and Stock Market back on it’s feet had never worked anywhere but driving an Ice Cream truck selling on ice cream at a time with no college degree and training, ands just so many more incompent people appointed to jobs where people lost their lives or lifes savings.

Obama lifted the weight of so many years of incompentence some by letting us know he is able and ready to lead us thu the hard struggle we have before us to reclaim and secure this country.

The Obaminator gave an over-the-top inspiring speech if you are a member of the
Fedzilla addicted, bloodsucker, anti-free market, European socialist cult of denial of America.

In the America facing a pandemic of self imposed obesity and gluttonous, irresponsible credit card debt, it is understandable how Obama’s celebration of such behavior resonated.

If you’re a rugged individualist, pro-free market, freedom loving, lower tax and less spending supporting capitalist, you had to shake your head in painful disbelief over how far left the Socialist Party has plummeted. President Kennedy, who supported lower taxes and stood up to the Commies in Cuba, would surely hang his head in shame and disbelief that this convention asks not what it can do for its country, but what its country must do for them. Shameful.

Obama is possibly the greatest person to seek the office in a very long time.  He really gave the best speech of the campaign last night.  Sadly he won’t find much support around here.  Compared to McCain, he should win in a landslide but too many people simply have no idea what is in the best interest of our nation.

I’ve heard some say he was black.  Funny, I made the mistake of just listening to him speak, learning about his positions on the issues and realized he is by far the one for the job.  He is smart, from a working class background and not interested in just himself.  Top of his class, compared to McCain who was in the bottom 1% of his class, and still doesn’t seem to even understand the difference between Sunni and Shia.  The good news for McCain, most voters don’t either.  Fortunately I can still hear people speak about truth and ignore the Republican talking points spewing from here.
