nanaof150:there are exceptions to everything,,and you seem to be just that. my own wife has two bad discs and her s.i joint is all out of whack.she had to leave the nursing profession she dearly loved,but was able to obtain an education and find a job that her back and hip could handle.i wish you nothing but the best.

I believe the correct phrasing would be “you NEVER cease to amaze me” but whatever. It is somewhat distressing to see you refer to others as idiots and question their spelling when you are obviously unable to use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence, use incorrect punctuation, use sentence fragments and let us not forget your spelling of “financiaaly.“ Perhaps your children were unavailable or your spell checker wasn’t working?

Moving on, I must assume that you were outraged when conservatives derided John Edwards for his high dollar haircut earlier this year? Or was that different because he had a “D” in front of his name? Dad’s point was not based on “wealth envy” but rather the hypocrisy of the McCain campaign as they try to paint Obama as “elite” when their candidate wears $500.00 dollar shoes. Please enlighten me as to how a man like McCain, who has been in Washington for 30 years, is married to a inheritance rich woman, and wears $500.00 dollar shoes can relate to what it is like to put $100.00 in your gas tank. Wealth envy? No. It is merely pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of the “elitism” argument.

Furthermore, you have yet to explain why we need more leased lands available for drilling when Congress has previously opened 60+ million acres for drilling, which according to the Dept. of Energy contains 4.8 BILLION barrels of oil. When do you think big oil might get around to using what they available to them? This entire argument of “more drilling” is a farce perpetrated by lobbyists for big oil and guys like you swallow it whole. It’s simple really, you tell your children to eat what they have on their plate before getting more, right? Simple logic tells us that if big oil tapped the 4.8 billion barrels of oil already open for the taking and as result gas prices come down, then obviously there is a valid argument for more drilling in other areas. We know that if drilling is authorized in areas currently being sought (ANWAR), it would take at least 10 years to see the benefits. Why didn’t the GOP controlled Congress and the Bush White House push for drilling in the areas already open for drilling? If they would have done so in 94’,96’,98’,2000,02’,and 04’, would we not alrady have less foreign dependency? So the cold harsh reality here sir, is that the majority of blame is at their feet. I would love to know your reasoning on why it is the Democrats fault that big oil hasn’t done crap with the areas already leased, which hold 4.8 billion barrels of oil? If and when they tap those resources and can show that it will lower gas prices I will be all for more drilling. Until then, I’m afraid the “more drilling” argument we get from you is empty rhetoric from your Republican masters.

SSA is not being starved by the lazy. Ronald Reagan put an end to that. It is not easy to get disability any longer and why I will admit there are those who abuse the system, their numbers are miniscule. I challenge you to give some credible evidence that “lazy” people are the cause of the coming insolvency of Social Security. It would behoove you to research and understand that the primary cause is the overwhelming number of baby boomers who are just now entering retiremen. Well that and the GOP Congresses wonderful looting of our treasury for Bush’s war.

dadw5boys: you cease to amaze me! what the hell does it matter if his shoes cost $1000. that is totally irrelivant.stop with the wealth envy. why don’t you go to any street in bristol where the homeless live and give each one of them $1000 apiece. they are less fortunate,,they need your money,,you don’t. you have too much !
ummmmmm about the gas prices,,,,where is the the democrats in congress right now? they went went on a five week vacation without even putting a bill on the floor to help stabilize or begin to bring down gas prices. but yet idiots like you want to place the blame everywhere except where the blame should fall.and the fact of the matter is social security is being starved by the lazy,can’t help themselves americans.you have folks from 20 -50 who is on disability without paying a dime in or paid very little.you have evrything from bad backs(but they do everything strenuous that healthy folks do),bad nerves(but yet they are allowed to hold a drivers licence and god help us raise kids,,,no wait we taxpayers are raising their kids financiaaly. stop all the fraud from the lazy and uneducated and social security would thrive.

U see the lies and misdirection are up and running. Apparently reading news from reporters that were there, an not allowed to go with Obama, when he met the Solaiders in Iraq and Afganistan would not temp you. He would not use the Soldiers for political points. He was photographed paly basket ball in Saudi Arabia and several media outlets like FOX claim the photos were in Iraq or Afganistan. He also vistied the Soldiers in the hospitals alone as in NO PRESS. He did not visit troops in Germany because one of his military advisors is the commander of the base where the hospital is located!

Mc CRAZY RUNS AROUND IN $570.00 SHOES calling Obama ELITE??? EXCUSE ME $570.00 FOR SHOES???? and then voted against the new G I BILL TOO? He had no problems voting for tax cuts that starve Social Security and the ENRON LOOPHOLE that has fas prices sky high now.

So vote for Mc Cain if you want 4 more years of lies, 20 TRILLION IN NATIONAL DEBT and more fairy tales.
