Its February…Let’s Celebrate!
Jan 31, 2008Okay, I was talking with Mark Reynolds during the 6pm newscast, and he says February is his least favorite month of the year (you’ll have to ask him why – we had to go back on the air before he could explain). So, I thought it’d be fun to find a way to celebrate every day, to help Mark and the rest of us get through the month.
I did some searches on the internet and here are some of the ‘holidays’ I uncovered. Some are funny, others are just weird.
February is . . . . National Blah Buster Month, National Embroidery Month, National Grapefruit Month, National Snack Food Month, National Weddings Month, Responsible Pet Owner Month, Return Carts to the Supermarket Month, Creative Romance Month, International Twit Award Month, Canned Food Month.
I hope this gives you enough time to plan your parties!
I’ll try to update a daily celebration, so we can all get through February!
Oh, and if you discover more fun holidays, put them in the comment section. The more ways to celebrate, the better!!!
Posted by Sara Diamond Handling Busy Schedules
Jan 31, 2008Have you ever had one of those weeks where you had so much to do (even more than normal), and don’t know how you’re going to do it all?
My schedule this week has been like that! I glanced at my calendar on Sunday to look at the week ahead. Yikes!!! From meetings to shooting stories and working a different shift for a couple of days, I am totally wiped out, and it’s not even Friday!
It’s amazing how falling out of a daily routine really turns everything upside down and affects the entire family. Hopefully after this weekend, things will start to quiet down – for a little while at least, and we’ll settle back into our routine.
How do you handle a particularly busy time for your family?

Jan 30, 2008Thank you to the people who e-mailed me about the anti-depressants story! It will air next month sometime. Look for the promos on News Channel Eleven. We actually have a lot of great stories planned for February you won’t want to miss!
Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday. Friday is getting closer!
I promise to update my blog very soon!

Jan 25, 2008I am working on a story about anti-depressants, and I need your help. I’d like to interview someone who has taken anti-depressants in addition to receiving therapy. I don’t need to anything about your personal business, just how much therapy has helped in your healing (or, if it hasn’t).
If you can help me out, or know of someone that would be willing to do an interview with me, please drop me an e-mail at sdiamond@wjhl.com
The interview will only take about 15-20 minutes, and can be done pretty much anywhere.
Thank you, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!
