This weekend Venezuelans get one last chance to hang on to democracy. The problem is that many of them do not recognize this Sunday’s referendum as such. And if they should actually elect this Castroesque blowhard President For Life, they and their children – and their children’s children – will not be the only ones who pay for their foolishnesss.
We will as well.
Now back to my agile head….

I suggest you read “Confessions of an Economic Hitman”. It is about how the World Bank does business.
Wrap your head around this. Imagine someone from another much richer country come to you goverment officals and offers them a lot of money to take a huge loan to build roads and dams or a bullet to the head if they refuse. The roads are built by KBR Kellog Brown and Root at inflated prices and then the World Bank comes back for payment. Your country can’t pay so they take unlimited access to your natural resources as payment with little if any payment for them. The roads are all built to remove those resources quickly. Eventual the population need thier resources but having forgien ownership now they can’t. This what Chaves is stopping. What is the CIA up to in Paraguay? Training rebels to regain contol of the oil from Chaves and gas from Bolivia. You don’t know what your government is doing in your name for private profits do you? Please read the book you’ll be really mad about how America really conducts it’s self in your name. Who do you think installed the most dictators around the world? Your USA!
