Since we are so close to April 1st, April Fools Day, I suggest we call those opposed to the coal fired power plant “Energy Fools”. Because I have yet heard any one opposed to the project, suggest a nuclear plant be built since it is the only viable alternative. I suggest those opposed be the first on a list to voluntary (or involuntary)to be among the first 50% to try and survive without electrical power. I believe a true energy crisis is coming, similar to the increases in the price of gasoline. Also, a zero tolerance policy will apply, enjoy the good life “energy fools”.

I agree with you on the wisdom of nuclear, James. And until it happens, coal - which already supplies way more than half of the energy we use in this country - is our best, most affordable source of energy.
Those opposed love to downplay or overlook the remarkable leaps and bounds that have been made in clean-coal technology. Nonetheless, there it is.
Personally, I may love to watch Little House on the Prairie, but the no-electricity way of life is definitely NOT for me!

Corn is king. We can eat it, drink it, and burn it in our SUV’s !!! The cob can be used too.
