Hillary Hawks Out – I just saw where Hillary responded to the question (was it yesterday?) “What would you do if you were President and Iran attacked Israel?” by saying she would bomb Iran – she even used the word “obliterate”.
Tough talk. PA moderate liberals are going to eat it up! Whee!
By the way, do you think it will pay off that Obama outspent Hillary in Pennsylvania 3 to 1?

7:45 a.m. - Demographics
Just a quick note about Pennsylvania demographics:
They have a higher median age, a higher percentage of whites, a lower median household income and fewer bachelor’s degrees than the country overall.
I’m surprised. Doesn’t fit the image I had of PA in my head. I would have guessed an average household income and average or slightly higher number of college grads.
I’m not sure where I got that picture of PA - maybe because my visits there have been limited to college campuses and historical landmarks - not much time just hanging out. Another preconceived notion bites the dust.

11:00 a.m. - more interesting demographics from PA -
85 percent white, 11 percent black, with most of the rest Hispanic.
Regarding the scared, bitter, gun-totin’ Christians comment, Obama spokesman Sean Smith said “He mangled the words, and he regrets offending anybody in the way that he said them.”
Interesting. Note he did NOT say Obama regrets what he said - only that he regrets offending folks because of the way he said what he said.
Do not doubt that he meant it. But perhaps the bigger, more telling lesson about Obama comes from the fact that he said it at all. There are lots of folks who agree with what he said, but for a politician to say it aloud is a pretty big, sloppy OOPS.
Makes you wonder what other OOPS may “slip out” when he’s in the White House.
As a McCain supporter, I wish Obama would win PA today. I truly think that he is much more beatable than Hillary, despite the fact that so many disagree with me.
Not likely, I’m afraid - -

I just hate making predictions yet I feeled oddly compelled to do so. What’s with that? Some kind of political masochism?
Anyway, to further refine my prediction of 6:45 a.m. and sink myself still further into the proverbial hole, I think HIllary will actually win by double-digits. Maybe barely - maybe only 10%. Maybe more. There it is. We’ll see…

Poll workers in PA are reportedly saying they have never seen turnout this heavy. Well, they’ve never had such an interesting race, and one where their votes literally counted as never before. No surprise there, but I will be interested to learn how many of the vocal “young” voters actually register and turn up at the polls. Kids are known for big talk but not-so-big follow-through.
McCain - “Can you smell what the Mac is cookin’?” Priceless.

Jody, looks like your prediction was right on - Hillary by 10%. Still, there will be some pressure for her to drop out but I don’t think that’s going to happen. The Democratic Convention is going to be very intersting this time.
