McCain’s Faceless Threat
Posted On:Mar 06, 2008
And what will it take to take McCain down?
I do not think McCain’s age will be a major factor, though many disagree with me. And there are certainly enough folks around who believe that going to Iraq and tackling terrorism head-on was the RIGHT thing to do, that his agreement with Bush on that end will only hurt him, I think, to a limited degree.
No, the main thing - maybe the only thing - that can kill McCain’s chances is not a Democrat candidate – ANY Democrat candidate. It is whoever the Perot turns out to be.

Looking at the data in the primaries, there are two candidates who can appeal to the independent vote...McCain and Obama. Polling data also shows us with a high degree of certainty that 40% of the public just doesn’t like Hillary. That leaves her at a significant disadvantage right off the bat. I do not believe that she can pull independent votes in places like Lousiana, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Iowa, and Wisconsin. These were all states her husband was able to win due to “Reagan Democrats”.
Nominating her is giving the White House to the GOP. Obama has the ability to appeal to at least some of these people, despite the lies about him being the most liberal Senator. Nader is a non factor. Any viable third party candidate would be one that appeals to the Rush Limbaugh/Ann Coultier crowd. I really hope someone like that appears. It would spell the end for McCain against Obama.
I will say this with a high degree of certainty though, I will gladly vote for McCain if the idiots in the Democratic party nominate Hillary Clinton. I refuse to sit through at least four years of gridlock, partisanship, innuendo, scandalous rumors, etc. This “business as usual” stuff has to stop. I just loved in the last debate when she said she would fight special interests, all the while knowing that special interests contribute so much to her campaign. It is pitiful how some just can’t see through her transparency.
