Jon Stewart – Dangerously Funny
Aug 05, 2007I have to admit it. I like Jon Stewart. He is insanely clever and wildly hilarious. The fact that I do not agree with his politics gets in the way occasionally, but usually I just let that part roll off of me and am able to simply enjoy his humor.
After all, he is a comedian and has to play to his audience (mostly 20-somethings and early 30s), and they traditionally are liberal. I do not doubt that he, too, is genuinely liberal, but I also do not doubt that if his audience was made up of middle class hard-working church-going conservatives, he would play more to THEIR politics.
