Be a part of “The Great American SPAM Championship”.
This “darling of recipe contests” is always a favorite among fairgoers and cooks. It encourages culinary creativity and savvy cooking skills. SPAM Champions are selected based on the TASTE, ORIGINALITY and PRESENTATION of their SPAM inventions. Contestants use their creativity to make any amazing appetizer and up to 10 ingredients. First, second and third place are rewarded with prize money and blue ribbons! First place recipes advance to national judging.
The Appalachian Fair SPAM Contest will take place on Wednesday August 26. Judging begins at 3 p.m.
Entries are delivered on-site and judged live during the fair at the Farm and Home Building on the First Floor Stage
Adults Win (1st Prize: $150 2nd Prize: $50 3rd Prize: $25)
National Grand Prize of a Trip to the SPAM JAM Waikiki event in Hawaii next April or $3000!
Kids Win (1st Prize: $60 2nd Prize: $30 3rd Prize: $10)
National Grand Prize of $2000!
