I was watching a few minutes of the Tony Awards last night, and happened to be tuned in when Lucy Arnaz came on stage as a presenter – or something.  I was blown away by how great she looks, so I googled her to find her age.

57years old.  Wow.

Add her to the list of women in their 40s, 50s and 60s, too, who look the best they have EVER looked – and yes, that includes in their 20 and 30s.

It wasn’t just that Lucy was fit and in shape.  She glowed.  Her eyes were bright and alive.  Her demeanor was confident and easy.  She carried herself like…well, like a woman over 40.  Over 50.  Throw in a great haircut and my, my – what a broad!

I love being my age.  Dont you?  I have never felt so comfortable in my skin, with all its imperfections.  I look in the mirror and these days, I see what is inside.  And it makes me smile.

Of course, I still wear makeup.  I’m not a nut job.

Look closer, darlin’.  And use your other eyes - the ones that see inside.  You’ve got fabulous written all over you.

Sorry.  I’m going through my Pollyanna phase.  It’s the full moon.

When I look in the mirror it just reminds me why the rest of my body has aches and pains.
