Whitetop Mountain Maple Syrup is a rather sticky subject. In a good way. I mean, a real good way!
The Whitetop Mountain Maple Festival is this Saturday and Sunday, March 28th & 29th. For more information call (276) 388-3422.
The festival features pancake breakfasts, arts & crafts, storytelling, tapping tours on the mountain, tours of the sugar house and music and food at the Fire Department.
To get there: take exit 19 off of I-81 in Abingdon. Follow route 58 through Damascus. Stay on 58 toward Konnarock and turn right when you see the sign for Whitetop. Follow signs into the Whitetop Community. Fire Department is on the right as you enter the community.
