It’s the second leg of our journey to the North Carolina High Country ski resorts. It all started for Ski Beech when a retired dentist from Alabama, who was an avid skier, learned about snow making and decided the mountains of North Carolina could support skiing if they had snow making. And, ever since, they’ve been skiing on The Beech.

For the next three Wednesdays in January, I’ll be showing you some of the ski resorts we visited. The first stop: Appalachian Ski Mountain.

For more, read Joe Tennis’ stories in tomorrow morning’s edition of the Bristol Herald Courier.
