The holidays are almost here (can you believe it?!).  Many organizations are beginning campaigns to help families in need.  Salvation Army is struggling to keep up with the need, so they are holding a big garage sale to help raise money.  We’ll have details about a big sale they’re holding.  You can shop for others, and help local families at the same time.  Not a bad deal!
Operation Christmas Child is also ramping up efforts.  If you remember, this organization sends shoe boxes filled with school supplies and other goodies to children in need around the world.
Donations are even going to the dogs!  We have a story highlighting folks who have saved animals in a local animal shelter from starving.

It’s amazing what we, as a community, can accomplish!
