In local TV news, there’s at least one “for sure” element: mention guns in a news story and you’re bound to get feedback.
This morning, our viewers and readers are sounding off about the big news of the day : a 17 year-old boy shot and killed in Greene County while allegedly trying to rob the home. According to the Sheriff Steve Burns, the owner of the home shot and killed boy. Three others, we’ve learned, escaped in a car.
Just before the running to the studio for the 5 a.m. newscast on 11 Connects, I posted a brief news story on this website.
Within a couple of hours, the debate was well underway.

People that are in your home uninvited are a threat to your person. You have the right to defend your home with deadly force. A criminal should be aware of the consequence before ever entering a person’s home.

remember the kids new what they where doing i would have shot them to way to go home owner do it again take names
